Many people suffer from bad breath, also known as halitosis. Often it is assumed the cause of the halitosis is the particular food that the person consumes. This is a step often overlooked by many people. It removes dead cells, food particles and bacteria. It is best to use a sort bristled brush and do at least 20 strokes.

Replace Your Toothbrush

It is a good practice to replace your toothbrush once a month. A toothbrush can collect bacteria and the bristles become dull. A fresh toothbrush is much more effective.

It is always a good idea to schedule regular check ups with your dentists. This allows your dentist to spot problems while they are small and easy to correct. Maintaining good hygiene is not only something that promotes healthy teeth, it is often an effective way to avoid halitosis.
