They usually do not breed hamsters that have any illnesses (or an unusual number of toes) and tend to breed only the healthier hamsters they own. In addition to that, good breeders tend to avoid breeding hamsters that are always fighting and causing trouble. Hamsters that are tame and friendly are usually favored to be made into proud parents.
So if you are looking to adopt a dwarf hamster, a breeder is definitely a good place to look. And if you locate a good one, there's a good chance you'll soon find your new pet hamster.
