You should also see to it that the dish is heavy enough so as to avoid having it tip over when hamsters are feeding on them.
- In terms of cleanliness, you would not have to worry about much, except for the fact that you will need to make sure their environment, rarely their dwelling place, is looked after quite thoroughly and well maintained. A hamster happens to be quite organized, being known to set as a particular spot for feeding while the other is for other activities.
