Female Premature Ejaculation: Problem, Cause and Treatments

[ad_1]

What is female premature ejaculation? Do females actually ejaculate? Basically, the term female premature ejaculation is not entirely correct, as women do not significantly ejaculate when they have orgasms. Indeed, there are some controversies about this female ejaculation matter, but we are not here to discuss that. For a more general term, female premature orgasm will instead be used here.

Premature orgasm in women is a condition where a woman reaches orgasm very fast during sexual relations. Sometimes it can occur during foreplay or when her partner has just begun the penetration. While most people see this as a blessing, some women find that reaching orgasm too quickly can be very annoying. After reaching orgasm, some women tend to shut off during sexual intercourse. Their mood changes and they may not desire any penetration and sexual attention from that point onward. This, of course, has a direct effect on their partners who miss out reaching mutual climaxes. The guilty feeling of a woman who suffers from early orgasm can be equal to what men feel when climaxing too early.

Premature orgasm is apparently not only a male problem nowadays. In fact, the problem is surprisingly found in a significant number of women. A recent study conducted by Hospital Magalhães Lemos in Portugal revealed that a lot of women also face the same difficulties as men. Based on the survey conducted by the hospital, 40% of the 510 Portuguese women surveyed, ranging from around 18 to 45 years of age admitted that they tend to reach an early orgasm during sexual intercourse. Meanwhile, 3% of the respondents reported this sexual dysfunction as a chronic problem. The women described that their loss of control over the timing of their orgasm as a distressing issue. This is, ironically, contrary to a study that was previously done with American women. That 2010 research revealed that 54% of US women aged 18 to 30 have difficulties in reaching orgasm.

What causes female premature orgasm? In males, the lack of neurotransmitter serotonin can be safely said as one of the causes of premature orgasm. However, this might or might not be the case for women. Mostly, female premature orgasm is often caused by the oversensitivity of women’s sexual organs. Other factors that trigger the female sexual dysfunction may be in the form of fluctuating levels of hormones, the menstrual cycle, vascular or blood flow problems, or certain hormonal medications. The fact that there are only a few studies about female premature orgasm makes it hard to find what actually causes this problem.

While no exact cures are found in treating female premature ejaculation, you can try some tips below to deal with premature orgasm in women:

– Intense lovemaking tends to trigger faster orgasm. Therefore, slowing down pace of intercourse a little might actually help.

– If you are a woman who reaches climax early from foreplay, try less foreplay. During foreplay, spend more time sexually arousing your male counterpart. This method is should give your partner less time when finally penetrating. This method is not easy for some people who see foreplay as the best part of the sexual experience.

– Similar to that of a man, masturbating prior to having sexual intercourse might help to delay a second orgasm. Indeed your lovemaking might seem less spontaneous when you try to satisfy yourself first, but the effect might actually be helpful in saving your relationship.

– Some men use desensitizing cream for dealing with premature ejaculation since the cream works in reducing their genital organ’s sensitivity. A woman with premature orgasm can try using this cream for a similar result. Make sure that the cream is applied carefully and as little as possible gets on her partner.
