Fresh Garlic For Great Health

Garlic, or Allium Sativum is a simple food, easily found and commonly used in worldwide cooking cuisine; garlic is also known commonly to all levels of people about it's great health benefits as well as a traditional medicine. Being health conscious society, we now tend to return to a natural lifestyle that includes acceptance of natural smell and garlic is one of the good example.

Garlic contains a strong and unique substances that keep arteries clean, kill bacteria, fungi and yeast. Garlic also has the ability to heat the body and eliminate poisons. The uniqueness of garlic being no taste of smell when it is well intact in the clove but once crushed, a strong garlic smell emerged. The key to all these great benefits is found in one element, that is a sulfur containing acid amino substance called alliin. In the Allium family, such as onions, chives, leeks or shallots, garlic seemed to be able to accumulate this unusual sulfur compounds.

When the garlic is crushed, enzyme in the garlic reacts with alliin, turning alliin to another compound called allicin which eliminates a fiery taste. This is the feeling of tongue bite when we happened to bite the raw garlic and this is believed to be the chemical chemical weapon against insects

Garlic has many benefits to our health: –

1. Eating garlic to fight against infections. Garlic has the effect to fight against the infections of stomach such as dysentery, sore throat, coughs, mouth, ears or skin infections. It can be used both externally and internally for spots, boils and ulcers.

2. Garlic recommended for hangover, bites, stings or even poison. It is also believed to be an antidote to snakebite where farmer used garlic in the fields as an emergency remedy. As for hangover, a morning soup of comments and garlic will be a great start to deal with the hangover.

3. Garlic improved blood circulation, thinning the blood, reduces arteries blockage, reduces blood pressure and most important of all is the ability to fight against heart diseases. It has the effect to reduce cholesterol level and fats in the blood stream.

Garlic is truly the people's medicine and safe to be consumed. Eating fresh and raw garlic will start to provide it's benefits the moment it is taken; the intake must be regular for at least three months to experience the good significant effect and changes to the health level.
